"Sometimes its best to just walk away. If you're a candy ass."
Fixed it for her.

That is not good advice, avoiding a problem is not very good. I'm currently trying to make amends with a long time friend who's been dickish to me recently. no matter what I say, he still dwells on the fact that I disagreed with him, months ago. walking away is not good. I now can't talk to him without him lashing back at me.

That's her way of saying "Listen son, not everyone gets to be a doctor when they grow up. Someone has to take out the doctor's trash." But guidance counselors can't say that anymore because everyone gets a trophy.

But yeah seriously they need to stop telling the stoners that they will all be successful no matter what as long as they graduate. Its total BS so I'm kinda liking this change in her attitude.

Have you considered that someone put that there as a prank and once you've considered that think about how much fun you could have by imitating this gag with other peoples doors.

Sometimes it is a good thing. It may not seem like it at the time, but some things just can't be fixed. Some things just will not happen. Not every kid can be president, and not everybody will find the perfect person. I think the counselor is just trying to be realistic in a world of free trophies.
